A Room With a View |

Forty five minutes out of town by snowmobile is a dome referred to as "A Room With a View." ARWAV is situated on the McMurdo peninsula between the base and Mt. Erebus and is 1,400 feet above sea level which offers nice views of southern Ross Island and the Ross Sea provided that the weather cooperates. Aside from the scenery, there are several large crevasses and ice caves to explore provided that one is roped up and on belay with experienced guides.
